چکیده

Rapid development has promoted the 3D land use in the urban environment with the increasing requirements of the complex interweaving, such as dwellings, commercial areas, public transportation and urban utilities and infrastructure.3D cadastral object are features which concern unban planning, land resource and real estate of municipalities, whether they are on, obove or below the earth’s surface. In essence, the 3D cadastral objects are content and partition of urban geographic space, and they aim at registering legal status and property rights associated with land and other real estates or properties (Guo, Ying, 2010). It has become a huge challenge for governments to manage 3D land space breaking through the traditional 2D information system, which needs the support of 3D techniques.

Developing a BIM-based Spatial Ontology for Semantic Querying of 3D Property Information

With the growing dominance of complex and multi-level urban structures, current cadastral systems, which are often developed based on 2D representations, are not capable of providing unambiguous spatial information about urban properties. Therefore, the concept of 3D cadastre is proposed to support 3D digital representation of land and properties and facilitate the communication of legal owners...

Developing a 3D cadastre for the administration of urban land use: A case study of Shenzhen, China

Fast economic growth and rapid urbanization present a challenge to the limited urban land resources of China. Specifically, they encourage a shift in the concentration on the surface of land parcels to the space above and below them. Recent development in land utilization in developed cities has broken the traditional frame of the parcel-based or 2D cadastre. The three-dimensional (3D) cadastre...

Toward a 3D marine cadastre in support of good ocean governance: a review of the technical framework requirements

Jurisdictions that are contemplating the development of 3D Cadastres cannot afford to ignore the marine environment. Apart from its extreme importance as a resource, the use of the marine environment is volumetric by nature and involves the exercising of rights to the surface, water column, seabed, and subsoil. This paper proposes a 3D marine cadastre model that can be used to support effective...

3D GIS Applied to Cadastre

2 Summary 2D cadastre systems have shown limitations, especially when describing complex situations to various stakeholders. 3D information models for cadastre are now increasingly implemented to overcome these restrictions. However, 3D systems are not without their challenges and problems to be avoided. The challenges include: guaranteeing topological consistency when building 3D volumes, dete...

3D spatial relationships model: a useful concept for 3D cadastre?

This paper contains some reflections about using 3D topology, and more generally some 3D concepts related to 3D cadastre. Firstly, we develop some conceptual views about 3D modelling and more specifically about the definition of 3D spatial objects. Secondly, we present a new framework for representing spatial relationships. The framework has different “complexity” levels and allows mixing simpl...
